TIPS AND TRICKS
How To Have A Great Senior Portrait Session
Choose a location that fits your personality as a couple How do you spend the most of your time as a couple? Is it outdoors in nature? Strolling downtown checking out the latest coffee shop or restaurant for brunch? Did you meet at a college around Atlanta? We want to choose a location that fits your personality as a couple.
Hire the same photographer for your engagement AND wedding It's important that your comfortable with your photographer on your wedding day. Engagement sessions is a great time to get to know each other.
Act natural, loosen up, and feel the love! I know this can seem like a lot to ask if it's the first time infront of a camera with your partner. If you are feeling the love, then so can the camera and it will show in the photos. Hug, kiss, hold hands.. Remember, your engaged!
Here's some do's and don'ts that will help ensure your satisfaction with your senior portrait session. If you have any further questions, Stephanie will be happy to discuss during your free consultation.
"DO" PERSONALIZE YOUR PHOTO SESSION
Wear your team jersey, bring your musical instrument, or even your high school sweetheart. How can we best represent your personality during your high school years.
"DONT" CHOOSE MULTIPLE LOCATIONS FAR APART
We welcome multiple locations, but try to keep them within a five to ten mile radius. We only have about a two to three hour window of prime sunlight, so we don't want to spend too much time in a car driving around.
"DO" CHOOSE A LOCATION THAT IS MEANINGFUL
Whether you spent your high school years playing a sport, horseback riding, or out in nature hiking. It's important to choose a location or clothing that is represents where you spent most of your time.
"DONT" FORGET A CHANGE OF SHOES
Choosing shoes that are appropriate for your location is very important. Three inch heels are going to be hard to hike to a waterfall in. Make sure to bring a pair of comfortable shoes if your location requires some exercise.
"DO" BRING MULTIPLE OUTFITS
Feel free to bring multiple outfits to add some diversity to your photos. I suggest some outfit options that are fancy, casual, or even your varsity jacket.
"DONT" FORGET YOUR CAP AND GOWN
I know it may seem cliche, but make sure to bring your cap and gown so we can grab some formal photos as well.
"DO" HAVE FUN WITH IT!
You only graduate from high school once in your life, so enjoy the moment! This session is all about you and your accomplishments, so let's have fun with it!
"DONT" FORGET YOUR COLLEGE SWAG
Don't forget to bring some photo college accessories to personalize your photo session!
